Mr. Clark’s Nisga’a name is Laax Yee, literally meaning ’to walk back and forth’ – a name gifted to him by his late paternal uncle Dr. Bert McKay inspired by a childhood memory of Bobby going back and forth to his two grandmothers whenever he was mad at one or the other.  It was also attributed to his likeness of travelling, seeing the outside world, but always returning home. Mr. Clark has travelled extensively and returned to the Nass Valley in 2005 to work for Nisga’a Lisims Government.
